Data Privacy and Cyber Security

This is a three-unit course designed to give students an overview of legal issues relating to personal privacy protection and cyber crime with a focus on the environment in the United States. The course will seek to convey practical information relating to data protection, office security and problems relating to hacking, ransomware and identify theft. Major privacy cases and statutes will be reviewed and critically analyzed.
