The class includes a number of professionals from the business, banking, finance, consulting, and marketing industries, as well as entrepreneurs. Students have worked for many of the world’s leading corporations.

The incoming class has a wealth of experience in the art, entertainment, and media industries. Students have worked at a broad range of leading media, entertainment, news, and technology companies and gained hands-on experience in the film, television, music, journalism, and talent representation sectors. The class includes numerous instrumentalists, vocalists, and dancers.

Students in the Class of 2029 bring a strong commitment to government and public service. Members of the class have worked or interned for U.S. Senators, members of the U.S. House of Representatives, city governments, and political campaigns. Their public-sector experience includes roles in the U.S. Departments of Justice, State, Commerce, and the Treasury, as well as the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Trade Commission, NASA, U.S. Census Bureau, U.S. Forest Service, and U.S. Postal Service. The class includes 10 veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces.

The incoming class is committed to public service and to advancing public policy. The class has spent countless hours working and volunteering for organizations like the ACLU, the Center for American Progress, the Brookings Institution, the Clooney Foundation for Justice, the Innocence Project, the International Rescue Committee, NAACP Legal Defense Fund, the National Urban League, the National Immigrant Justice Center, Partners in Health, Reproductive Freedom for All, the Ronald Reagan Institute, the Urban Institute, Teach for America, and many others.

We are also joined by professionals from the science, technology and medical industries. The class includes mechanical, industrial, software, and electrical engineers. Students bring experience in research, cybersecurity, and financial analysis.

The class includes competitive athletes in a variety of sports as well as nine team captains, six Division I athletes and seven Division III athletes. Students have excelled in water polo, rugby, track and field, cross country, crew, sailing, lacrosse, football, swimming, baseball, volleyball, tennis, fencing, beach volleyball, basketball, polo, and mixed martial arts.

96% of UCLA Law graduates who took the July 2025 California Bar Exam for the first time passed the examination. The statewide average bar passage rate for first-time test takers who graduated from ABA-approved law schools in California was 83.8%. For UCLA Law graduates taking the July 2025 New York Bar Exam, the passage rate was 100% for first-time test takers.
