The UCLA Institute for Technology, Law & Policy in collaboration with the UCLA Journal of Law and Technology invite you to Careers in Tech Law 2026, an in-person event showcasing the breadth of career opportunities available in technology law. What is the day-to-day experience of a transactional lawyer or litigator working in intellectual property, artificial intelligence, privacy, security, and technology law? How is AI changing the landscape? How can law students set themselves up for success in these fast-moving areas of law and policy? 

Join us for a unique series of plenary panels, fireside discussions, and networking opportunities with leading professionals from law firms, public interest advocacy orgs, legal tech companies, and the public sector. Designed to cater to a wide range of interests, high-level speakers will be featured from Sheppard, Ashurst Perkins Coie, Kirkland & Ellis, Electronic Frontier Foundation, Free Press, Just Futures Law, Legora, Harvey, the California Department of Justice, and the California Privacy Protection Agency. Event programming will be followed by a catered reception and opportunities to meet with leading practitioners and organizations.

Note that a space-limited plenary panel will be offered at 3:45–4:45 PM (early registrants prioritized), followed by a plenary panel and fireside discussions from 5:00–7:00PM, and culminating in a networking reception and tabling from 7:00-8:30PM.
