Feed it Forward: Food Drive
Due to the ongoing SNAP and EBT freezes, the Student Bar Association (SBA) and the Public Interest Student Organization (PISO) are partnering to host a food drive to support the UCLA Law and Westwood communities on Thursday, November 13th, from 12:00–2:00 PM in Shapiro Courtyard (weather permitting). If it rains, the event will move indoors to the Law School Lobby (near Cappello Courtroom/Records Office).
If you’re able, please consider donating a few items — and enjoy Jersey Mike’s as a thank you for your contribution! All donations are encouraged, however, no one will be turned away from receiving free Jersey Mike’s.
If you’re unable to bring physical food items, you can instead donate physical Visa, DoorDash, or Grubhub gift cards, which will be distributed confidentially to UCLA Law students through Student Affairs. Please provide gift cards in $10 increments, regardless of the total amount (for example, donate five $10 cards instead of one $50 card). If you’re unable to provide physical donations, you may send monetary contributions via Venmo (@Aria-Catano) or Zelle ((408) 505-6198, Aria Catano).
All funds will be used to purchase additional gift cards, which will be distributed by the Student Affairs Office and available for student pickup Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, beginning Friday, November 14 with no questions asked.
