The 2026 midterm elections are here, and the ramifications could be big. Los Angeles may elect a new mayor; California will elect a new governor; and control of Congress could change hands.

Please join us on Monday, November 9 at UCLA School of Law for a post-election discussion about the local, state, and national implications for environmental policy and politics with a panel of UCLA experts:

Alejandro Camacho is Professor of Law at UCLA and author of the new book "Lessons for a Warming Planet: A Vital History of U.S. Environmental Law."  

Marta Segura is Director of the UCLA Center for Healthy Climate Solutions and formerly the founding Chief Heat Officer for the City of Los Angeles. 

Anthony Rendon is the California Assembly Speaker Emeritus with a current appointment at the UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs. 

Jon Christensen, Adjunct Assistant Professor at UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability and Director of UCLA's Laboratory for Environmental Narrative Strategies (LENS), will moderate the conversation.
