Hope R. Levy-Biehl is a Lecturer at UCLA School of Law and teaches Healthcare: Regulatory and Compliance Issues in the Master of Legal Studies program. She is a partner in the healthcare practice group at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP where she practices as a healthcare regulatory attorney, and previously serving as chair of the firm’s healthcare practice group. Her practice focuses on advising hospitals, health systems, and other healthcare providers and organizations on licensing and certification, Medicare and Medicaid payment, regulatory compliance, privacy and security, reimbursement, day-to-day operations, healthcare transactions, and emerging legal and policy issues.

Levy-Biehl previously served as an adjunct professor at LMU Loyola Law School, teaching the course Health Care Organizations, Business Planning, and Regulatory Compliance. Levy-Biehl has written and spoken on a wide range of healthcare regulatory topics, including various legal and compliance issues affecting hospitals, health systems and healthcare organizations. She has been recognized by leading legal publications for the depth and breadth of her expertise and practice acumen, including Chambers USA, the Daily Journal, The Legal 500 and Southern California Super Lawyers.

Levy-Biehl received her B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles, and her J.D. from UCLA School of Law. While in law school, she served on the UCLA Law Review and was named Distinguished Editor of the Year for 1997–1998. She also served as a Research and Writing Teaching Assistant.
