Shapiro Fellow in Environmental Law and Policy
Tiffany Deguzman (she/her) is the 2025-2027 Shapiro Fellow in Environmental Law and Policy at UCLA School of Law, where her work will focus on sustainable agriculture, water justice, and environmental inequality.
Deguzman received her B.A. from Duke University and her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law. While in law school, Deguzman served as Senior Articles Editor for the California Law Review, Co-Chair of the Pilipinx American Law Society, and on the boards of the Womxn of Color Collective and First Generation Professionals. Deguzman also received the Dale Minami Public Interest Fellowship and Francine Marie Diaz Memorial Award, published in Human Rights Quarterly, and graduated with certificates in Public Interest & Social Justice and Race & Law.
Prior to joining UCLA, Deguzman clerked for the Honorable Ronald M. Gould of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and for the Honorable Dolly M. Gee of the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
