Alessia Zornetta is a doctoral candidate at UCLA Law, specializing in the regulation of content moderation practices by online platforms. She is affiliated with the Institute for Technology Law & Policy and the NarangLab, where her research focuses on policy avenues for quantum technologies. Alessia has clerked at the Saarland Higher Regional Court in Germany, and has had positions at leading institutions such as the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism, the McGill Centre for Media, Technology and Democracy, and the Institute for Legal Informatics in Germany. Her work at these institutions spanned a range of projects related to platform governance, artificial intelligence, and data protection. Alessia holds an LL.M from McGill University (Canada) and an LL.B from the University of Trento (Italy), and her publications have been featured in Europe, the United States, and South America.

Yuan Tian is an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering and of the Institute of Law, Technology, and Public Policy at University of California, Los Angeles. Before joining UCLA, She was an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at University of Virginia, and she obtained her Ph.D from Carnegie Mellon University in 2017, and interned at Microsoft Research, Facebook, and Samsung Research.
