Los Angeles – The Center for Immigration Law and Policy (CILP) at the UCLA School of Law and Million Dollar Hoods have partnered to create Mapping Deportations, an unprecedented website and organizing tool that traces every deportation order in the U.S. since 1895.

San Francisco – A federal judge today ordered the Trump administration to comply with his earlier ruling reinstating Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Venezuelans. The order follows the government’s failure to allow individuals to access a website where they could renew the protections currently in place.

Los Angeles – A three-judge panel from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit today unanimously upheld a federal judge’s ruling that concluded the unprecedented termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for an estimated 600,000 Venezuelans is illegal, and held the federal judge has the authority to decide the case.

San Francisco – A three-judge panel from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit today granted the Trump administration’s request to stay–or pause–a district court order that had continued Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for 60,000 people from Honduras, Nepal, and Nicaragua.
