
Leading media executives Harry Sloan and Jeffrey Sagansky participated in a spirited discussion on Oct. 26 about the recent explosion of interest in special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs). One year ago, the world seemed very different. A class of newly minted attorneys had just taken the bar exam and were on their way to budding new careers in the legal profession. The next big collaboration between technology and entertainment took center stage at “Hollywood Analytica,” the 43rd Annual UCLA Entertainment Symposium on March 15 and 16, where many of the industry’s biggest stars met to discuss the legal and economic impacts of innovations in an industry grappling with rapid evolution.
