International Climate Change Law and Policy Clinic

Environmental Law, International Law, Public Interest Law

The clinic will expose students to the theory and practice of international climate law, the authorities, capacities, and limits of relevant international institutions, and strategies to expand international governance. It will do this work in the context of a major shift in understanding the severity and imminence of climate-change risks, the efficacy and limits of major responses, and their associated governance challenges. The clinic will work with partners doing path-breaking legal and policy work on these issues, principally the World Commission on Governing Responses to Climate Overshoot, and its Secretariat based in the Paris Peace Forum.
