Curious about Law School? Experience it at an Elite Law School

Spend two weeks living the 1L experience — real classes, real professors, real law school. The 1L Experience gives you an inside look at 1L topics taught by the same faculty who teach our UCLA Law 1L's (first-year law students) in:

  • Contracts
  • Tort Law
  • Constitutional Law
  • Criminal Law
  • Plus: Special Topics at the intersection of law, business, technology, and society

You'll get access to:

  • Sessions with UCLA Law's JD admissions team
  • Faculty panels on the JD experience
  • JD student panels sharing firsthand advice

All designed to help you put your best foot forward when applying to JD programs.

The program provides direct access to some of the top law professors in the world, bringing UCLA Law’s renowned teaching and legal scholarship. Whether you're preparing to start your JD or still deciding if law school is the right path, this is your chance to test the waters — get a head start on the rigor of a JD program, or walk away with real clarity on whether it's the right fit.
