J.D. Class of 2026 Profile


A look at the accomplishments and background of the J.D. Class of 2026.

UCLA Law is proud of the depth and breadth of the careers and interests pursued by our students prior to law school. Our students have excelled in almost every industry. The following is just a sampling of the outstanding previous accomplishments of the class of 2026.

The class includes 10 fraternity or sorority presidents, six representatives from student governing bodies, 13 mock trial team captains or presidents, two student body presidents, numerous presidents and founders of student organizations, and editors-in-chief of student publications.

  • Business

    The class includes a number of professionals from the business, finance, consulting, accounting and marketing industries, as well as entrepreneurs.

  • Arts & Entertainment

    The incoming class has a wealth of experience in the art, entertainment and media industries and includes producers, writers' assistants, productions assistants, an actress and numerous instrumentalists and dancers.

  • Government

    Students in the Class of 2026 have worked or interned for U.S. Senators, members of the U.S. House of Representatives, members of state legislatures, city officials, tribal governments, and on political campaigns. Students have also worked or interned for the White House, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Government Accountability Office, the Department of Labor-Bureau of Labor Statistics, the U.S. Census Bureau, the Congressional Research Service, and the Library of Congress. The class also includes a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

  • Public Service

    The incoming class is also committed to public service and to advancing public policy. The class has spent countless hours working and volunteering for organizations like the ACLU, Alliance for Children’s Rights, Bet Tzedek, Coro Southern California, Council on Foreign Relations, CHIRLA, Eviction Defense Network, Environment California, Environmental Law and Policy Center, Human Rights Watch, International Rescue Committee, NRDC, Physicians for Human Rights, National Lawyers Guild, One Fair Wage, SEIU, Tribal Law and Policy Institute, and UNICEF.

  • Science & Technology

    We are also joined by professionals and entrepreneurs from the science and technology industries.

  • Athletics

    The class includes competitive athletes in a variety of sports as well as team captains for hockey, basketball, tennis, lightweight rowing and rugby.

  • Bar Passage Rate For the Class Of 2023

    88.4% of UCLA Law graduates who took the July 2023 California Bar Exam for the first time passed the examination. The statewide average bar passage rate for first-time test takers who graduated from ABA-approved law schools in California was 76.3%. For UCLA Law graduates taking the July 2022 New York Bar Exam, the passage rate was 96% for first-time test takers.
