Ireneo Reus

Ireneo A. Reus III is a Lecturer in Law at UCLA School of Law and teaches Compensation and Working Conditions. Reus serves as outside general counsel to businesses and employers in various industries, including healthcare, media, and real estate. Before establishing his own law firm, Reus worked for a civil litigation firm, a national public finance law firm, and the General Counsel’s Office of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. He has also taught Legal Writing and Advocacy at USC Gould School of Law.

Reus received his B.A., summa cum laude, in Economics and Political Science from Whittier College, and his J.D. from UCLA. While in law school, he was a member of the UCLA Moot Court Honors Program and served as senior articles editor of the UCLA Journal of Law & Technology. From 2018 to 2019, Reus served as the President of the UCLA School of Law Alumni Association.

Reus has served as a contributing author for the Continuing Education for the Bar (“CEB”) “Practitioner” series on multiple employment law topics. He has also served as a contributing author in the American Bar Association’s (“ABA”) best-selling book, Careers in International Law, (5th Edition), and the 2012 “State Bar of California’s Guide to Growing and Managing a Law Office.” Reus is a member of ABA House of Delegates and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
