Ireneo A. Reus III is a Lecturer in Law at UCLA School of Law and teaches Compensation and Working Conditions. Reus serves as outside general counsel to businesses and employers in various industries, including healthcare, media, and real estate. Before establishing his own law firm, Reus worked for a civil litigation firm, a national public finance law firm, and the General Counsel’s Office of the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California. He has also taught Legal Writing and Advocacy at USC Gould School of Law to J.D. and LL.M. students. For two decades, Reus has significant experience teaching, training, and mentoring J.D., LL.M., and Master of Legal Studies (MLS) law students as well as new attorneys.

Reus received his B.A., summa cum laude, in Economics and Political Science from Whittier College, and his J.D. from UCLA. While in law school, he was a member of the UCLA Moot Court Honors Program and served as senior articles editor of the UCLA Journal of Law & Technology. In 2016, the Los Angeles Law Library featured Reus in an exhibit and documentary film titled “Opening the Door: Personal Stories of Groundbreaking Los Angeles Lawyers and Judges.” From 2018 to 2019, Reus served as the President of the UCLA School of Law Alumni Association.

Reus is also an accomplished legal community leader, a published thought leader, and sought-after public speaker. He has held leadership positions at the State Bar of California, California Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, and the Philippine American Bar Association. Reus has served as a contributing author for the Continuing Education for the Bar (“CEB”) “Practitioner” series on multiple employment law topics. He has also served as a contributing author in the ABA's best-selling book, Careers in International Law, (5th Edition), and the 2012 “State Bar of California’s Guide to Growing and Managing a Law Office.” Reus is a member of ABA House of Delegates and is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation.
