Jackson Lucky

Lecturer in Law

Jackson Lucky is a Lecturer in Law at UCLA School of Law and will teach Trial Advocacy. He previously worked as a judge for the Superior Court of California, Riverside, where he heard civil, criminal, and family law cases. He served as the supervising judge of the criminal and family divisions. Before becoming a judge, he was a deputy district attorney. Lucky currently works as an arbitrator/mediator/private judge at JAMS, where he hears civil and family law disputes.

Lucky received his B.F.A. at DePaul University and his J.D. magna cum laude at Southwestern Law School. In law school, he served on the Law Review and was a national finalist (oralist) in the National Moot Court Competition.

Lucky’s publications have appeared in The Daily Journal, The Advocate Magazine, Plaintiff Magazine, and The Riverside County Bar Journal, among others.
