Michael Asimow is a Professor of Law Emeritus at UCLA Law School and at Santa Clara Law School. He was Visiting Professor of Law at Stanford Law School from 2010-2019. During his 43 years of teaching at UCLA, Michael received the University's Distinguished Teaching Award and the School of Law's Rutter Award for Excellence in Teaching. In 1994, he received the Fredric P. Sutherland Award recognizing public service contributions by a faculty member.

He is a past chair of the American Bar Association's Section on Administrative Law and Regulatory Practice and a consultant for the Administrative Conference of the United States.  He has written numerous books, book chapters, and law review articles about federal, state, and comparative administrative law as well as law and popular culture and taxation.
