Bussel Named Fellow of American Bar Foundation

Daniel Bussel

UCLA Law Professor Daniel Bussel has been named an American Bar Foundation fellow, joining the global society that has been honoring the most notable attorneys, judges and legal scholars since 1955. Nominated by their peers and elected by the American Bar Foundation board, fellows support the institution through a wide array of contributions and seminars on the legal profession.

Bussel was also recently named to LawDragon’s lists of the 500 leading bankruptcy and restructuring lawyers in the United States and worldwide and is among the top bankruptcy law practitioners and scholars.

A member of the UCLA Law faculty for nearly three decades, he is a co-author of the casebook Bankruptcy and a partner at the insolvency boutique firm Klee, Tuchin, Bogdanoff & Stern. With UCLA Law Professor Emeritus Kenneth Klee, Bussel played a key role in Puerto Rico’s 2019 debt restructuring, which was one of the largest in U.S. history.
