Sears Wins Equality California Leadership Award

Brad Sears

Brad Sears, UCLA Law’s Assistant Dean of Public Interest Law, received the Golden State Equality Community Leadership Award from Equality California, the nation’s largest statewide LGBTQ+ civil rights organization. The award was presented during a virtual ceremony in September.

A national leader in LBGT law and policy, Sears served as the founding executive director of the Williams Institute from 2001 to 2017. He is the author of many research studies in the field and is the Williams Institute’s David Sanders Distinguished Scholar of Law and Policy.
