
Ahilan Arulanantham, one of the nation’s most respected advocates for immigrants’ rights, is joining UCLA School of Law as co-faculty director of the Center for Immigration Law and Policy and professor from practice.

UCLA School of Law Professor E. Tendayi Achiume testified in a virtual hearing, “H.R. 40: Exploring the Path to Reparative Justice in America,” that the U.S. House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties held on Feb. 17.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer participated in UCLA School of Law’s Supreme Court Simulation course on Feb. 5. Joining by video, Breyer engaged in an insightful and wide-ranging conversation with roughly two dozen students. He shared how he prepares for oral argument, offered a general glimpse into the justices-only conference where they discuss and decide cases, and presented his views on what makes a good advocate.
