Alumni and friends raised $181.2 million for UCLA School of Law during the Centennial Campaign for UCLA, far exceeding the school's goal during the campus-wide fundraising drive that was designed to prepare the university for its second century of excellence.

Members of three UCLA School of Law clinics are part of a coalition including people who are incarcerated in Los Angeles County jails, lawyers and activists that has sued the county and county sheriff’s department seeking the release of medically vulnerable people and the implementation of heightened health and safety standards in jails during the coronavirus pandemic.
UCLA School of Law Professor E. Tendayi Achiume has earned UCLA’s Distinguished Teaching Award, the university’s highest honor for excellence in the classroom. Achiume was also named the recipient of the Eby Award for the Art of Teaching for 2019-20.
