Mike Heath teaches Contract Drafting. Mike is a partner with Gunderson Dettmer, the leading law firm in the venture capital and startup ecosystem. He founded and heads the firm's Los Angeles office, where his practice focuses on representing high-growth startups and the venture funds that support them in equity financing, M&A and general corporate matters. His clients’ industries include enterprise SaaS, hardware, e-commerce and blockchain/decentralization. Mike was recently named a "Next Generation Partner" by the Legal 500. Mike received his B.A., High Honors, Phi Beta Kappa at the University of California, Berkeley, and his J.D. at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law. A portion of his undergraduate thesis was published in Jerusalem Quarterly. While in law school, Mike worked on a habeas corpus petition in Uganda. He holds out hope for the Cal Bears to make the Rose Bowl in his lifetime.
