J.D. Student Ambassador: Ana Siqueira

Ana Siqueira

Hi everyone! My name is Ana Siqueira and I am a third-year student at UCLA Law. I was born and raised in Porto Alegre, Brazil. My first experience living in the U.S. was in 2016 when I spent six months living in Louisiana for a high school exchange program. I graduated high school in Brazil in 2017 and moved to Tallahassee, Florida in 2018 to attend Florida State University. I graduated from Florida State University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in political science and economics.

As someone who went to law school right after graduating undergrad, I was unsure of what career path I wanted to pursue. UCLA’s robust curriculum, variety of specializations, and all-around outstanding faculty assured me that I would receive a top-notch education and have the best opportunities regardless of which path I chose to pursue, which made UCLA Law a perfect fit for me.

My extracurricular involvement at UCLA Law includes serving as an ambassador for the Admissions Office and a staff editor for the UCLA Law Review. During my 1L and 2L summers, I worked as a summer associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP in Los Angeles. I will be returning to Simpson Thacher after graduation!

Attending UCLA Law is one of the best decisions I have ever made. We have a vibrant and kind community here, which coupled with our academic strength and professional opportunities makes UCLA Law a one-of-a-kind school. I am happy to answer any questions about my experience at UCLA Law, living in graduate housing, moving to Los Angeles, and attending law school as an international student!
