
UCLA School of Law professor Cheryl Harris has won the UCLA Distinguished Teaching Award for 2022, the university’s highest recognition for excellence in the classroom.

UCLA School of Law lecturer Justin Bernstein has won the UCLA Distinguished Teaching Award for 2022, the university’s highest recognition for excellence in the classroom. Bernstein’s award is for full-time lecturers, adjunct professors, clinical faculty members, and teaching assistants.

In the wake of the June 24 Supreme Court decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade, the landmark 1973 ruling that provided a constitutional protection for abortions, scholars from UCLA, policymakers, and reproductive health practitioners discussed what the future may hold.

The UCLA Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and the Institute for Technology, Law and Policy (ITLP) have announced the hiring of Yuan Tian as an assistant professor. The institute is affiliated with both the UCLA School of Law and the Samueli School of Engineering.
