
A member of UCLA School of Law’s faculty for more than two decades, Russell Korobkin is the Richard C. Maxwell Distinguished Professor of Law, and he has served as vice dean for the last seven years. With the departure of Dean Jennifer L. Mnookin – who will become the chancellor of the University of Wisconsin-Madison next month – Korobkin answered a new call to service at the law school that has been his home since 2001.

UCLA School of Law has received a gift of $4.265 million from the Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria. This generous contribution creates two chairs in Native American law that are endowed in the honor of, respectively, Distinguished Professor Carole Goldberg and Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria Tribal Chairman Greg Sarris. The chairs will recruit, retain, and support faculty members of the highest professional caliber, who will advance the study and practice of tribal law.

For three Wednesdays in June, a record crowd of executives, lawyers, and other entertainment industry stakeholders joined together for the 46th annual UCLA Entertainment Symposium, sponsored by the law school’s Ziffren Institute for Media, Entertainment, Technology and Sports Law.
