Areas of Focus

International & Comparative Law

International legal authorities play an essential role in regulating trade, enforcing human rights, and spreading the rule of law in an increasingly connected world.

Thanks to our International & Comparative Law Program, UCLA Law students who wish to study international law are able to graduate with a breadth and depth of expertise. Indeed, J.D. and LL.M. students may seek a specialization in International and Comparative Law. Together with the Los Angeles and Europe offices of The Promise Institute for Human Rights, we provide students with access to outstanding scholars in fields from human rights to comparative constitutional law and international trade. We teach traditional courses while also offering engaging opportunities to participate in hands-on clinics and international trial competitions, allowing students to hone their skills while interacting with global leaders in the field.
