  • Course Sessions
    Session 1:  Strategic Leadership

HR executives occupy a unique position alongside C-suite leadership, helping to shape organizational goals while ensuring those strategies are effectively communicated across the company. In this session, students will learn how to partner with executive leadership to translate vision into actionable people strategies, align business objectives with culture and workforce engagement, communicate change with trust and transparency, and position HR as both a strategic advisor and cultural architect within the organization.

    Session 2:  Organizational Management

Effective organizational management is foundational to a company’s ability to set clear priorities, align teams, and execute strategy at scale. This session will explore how organizations establish effective, measurable, and manageable goals through intentional management structures, communication frameworks, and performance alignment. Participants will examine how leadership decision-making, organizational design, and cross-functional collaboration contribute to operational clarity and long-term success.

Session 3:  Today's Competent and Effective Hiring and Retention practices for HR Professionals.

In an increasingly competitive and evolving labor market, effective hiring and retention strategies are critical to building resilient, high-performing organizations. This session will examine contemporary employment practices that support inclusive, diverse, and equitable workplaces while also driving strong business outcomes. Panelists will explore how thoughtful recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention strategies can strengthen organizational culture and improve long-term workforce stability.

Session 4:  Best Practices for Effective HR Collaboration with Legal Counsel

With constant changes in state and federal employment laws and increase in employers’ exposure to lawsuits and large verdicts, HR must collaborate effectively with attorneys. Whether the company is involved in litigation, needs advice and counsel, or is conducting an internal investigation, HR can play a key role in an attorney’s representation of the company. Our panelists will provide broad perspectives and relevant strategic insights for HR leaders.

Session 5: HR Technology, Artificial Intelligence, & People Analytics

As HR technology continues to evolve rapidly, organizations are increasingly leveraging artificial intelligence and workforce analytics to drive efficiency, enhance talent strategies, and inform business decisions, all while facing heightened responsibility around governance, compliance, and ethics. This session will examine best practices for responsibly implementing HR technology, including mitigating risk in the use of AI tools, safeguarding employee data, and addressing ethical considerations such as bias prevention, transparency, and regulatory compliance.
