UCLA Law and Economics Workshop

Jointly sponsored by the Center for Law and Economics and the Lowell Milken Institute for Business Law and Policy at UCLA School of Law.

The UCLA Law and Economics Workshop (Law M648A/B) is an interdisciplinary workshop that brings together scholars and students from the Law School, the Economics Department, and the Anderson School of Management. Speakers from other universities will be invited to present working papers on law and economics topics including those involving contract, tort, intellectual property, and business law. Students will write graded reaction papers. UCLA faculty members will also attend and participate in the workshop. This seminar is particularly well suited for students who wish to learn more about law and economics and to see the scholarly process in action. Many of the papers will be technical so students should have some knowledge of empirical methods and ideally a basic understanding of calculus. The course is taught by Professors Mark F. GradyJill Horwitz and Alexander Stremitzer.

The course will not be offered in the 2018-19 and 2019-20 academic years. Please consult the past workshops for presenters and their topics.
